Albert Einstein came to prominence in 1905 with the publication of three revolutionary papers and his last public act – just few hours before his death in 1955 was the signing of an appeal to the world to abolish nuclear weapons and to end war. In this 50 years period he contributed to social and scientific thought in ways that are hard to imagine. Einstein Science Club (ESC) is an educational and a voluntary group which aims to celebrate and further the values and vision of this eminent scientist, philosopher and activist.
With ESC we want to achieve the following:
- Popularizing new and important scientific research through public talks, including talks by experts in the respective fields.
- Educating people about dangers of nuclear weapons and the need for their immediate abolishment through talks, literature and digital media.
- Organizing events, demonstrations and workshops.
